              Siam Ruby Pomelo” or “Tub-Tim Siam” ("Tub-Tim" literally means ruby when translated from Thai) is one of the substances which has a strong influence on the taste and odor of it, compared with other pomelo. The fresh pomelo season typically runs from October through January each year. In Thailand, the most famous area for Siam Ruby pomelo production is Pakpanang district, Nakhonsrithammarat province where situated at the southtern of Thailand, has a pleasant weather
and is rich in natural and cultural recourses including minerals, hydraulic power, fruits, bird’s nest and temples.

Siam Ruby  is a good source of vitamin C,contains the fiber pectin, and the pink and red hues contain the beneficial antioxidant lycopene. Studies have shown pomelo helps lower cholesterol.
As the largest citrus fruit, 16-22 inch in diameter, and usually weighing 1-2 kg, foliage leaf often rather broad, long, and thin. Skin rather tender, smooth as velvet. its skin is usually pale green to yellow when ripe, with sweet ruby red flesh on the inside which distinguishes the Siam-Ruby from other similar fruits.
Pomelo has other names such as Pummelo, Pommelo, Chinese grapefruit, Jabong, Lusho fruit, Pompelmous, Shaddock and other names including iThailand, is called “Som-Oh(ส้มโอ). Pomelo is hugely popular in Thailand and comes in many varieties ,determined by color. Also, the “Siam Ruby pomelo” has the first pomelo patent.
The Siam Ruby pomelo is a unique fruit that ranks as the finest amongst all varieties of pomelos in Thailand. The fruit has become a popular new fruit  in recent years and the export of this fruit is growing year by year.
